Guess who has a Kindle...........

Mother was surprised and delighted to receive her Kindle today!  She is finally a high tech mother, grandmother and great-grandmother! With some basic instructions to navigate from book to book and page to page, along with the power button, we think she is well on her way to some quality reading time with a larger font!   She is starting out with The Descendents and The Litigator.  Her niece, Rebecca, will be just as excited, as she planted the idea.

A fun get-together with family....celebrating the birth of Vivienne.  Izzy (Catherine to me) and Ted brought their precious little one for a Texas style visit with a Barcelona twist.  And it's always a good time for a glass of white wine sangria, tapas and visiting!

I really thought my birds were lovin' my homemade suet cakes...so much that the cakes were disappearing a little faster than usual.   And then...the culprit is caught in action.   There's nothing to it....just shimmy up the pole and chow down.

It's that time of year.........

Valentines Day  wouldn't be complete if there weren't a few batches of heart cookies to share.   Thanks to longtime friend and former neighbor Sue Ann, her recipe is THE BEST!  I'm still baking and decorating, so more pics to come!
