RAIN!!!

Maybe 3+ inches of rain might "inch" up our lake level!  We're hoping for a rise!

Critters and such....

Visitors from Baltimore!  (Orioles)

Copperhead lurking in one of the patio plants...

This mama dug a nice hole next to the garden last summer.

This photo is compliments of a neighbor about 1/2 mile south of us.

January's Garden

Sugar snap pea flowers

Wanted to share what's growing in the garden....Anxiously waiting for those pea pods to mature!  We've had several cuttings of the lettuce; the broccoli has tasted wonderful.  Wish we had planted more!  We are patiently waiting for cabbage production.   The garlic plants look really healthy as well.

And in January 2012...

A new year....hmmmmmm....what better time to start a blog???   With the encouragement of my niece, I have decided to follow through with this idea which I have been nurturing in my brain for several months.  So I hope you will follow along on my journey of contemplation, random thoughts and actual "happenings".  While I enjoy life on the quiet side, exciting things do happen, and I hope to share both.  Just consider this my public journal!
